National Puppy Day

They make you laugh and they make you smile,

Spending time with them is worthwhile,

They are said to be a person’s best friend,

When you’re with them your happiness will never end,

They lick your hands and climb on your feet,

Adopting one is quite a feat,

They may be quite active and noisy too,

But they will get you through hard times, it’s true,

There are stories of them saving their owners from fires,

And they did it because it was their desire,

They wanted to do it out of the bottom of their heart,

And they know that if they help their owner, they will never be apart,

This day is set aside to thank this amazing animal,

Who can do so many things and can be big or small.
