Aye-Aye

Hi everyone. This is my endangered animal poem for April! This animal may look scary but they usually don't hurt humans. Even after teaching children not to judge people or things by their appearances these animals are killed because of a legend and what they look like. I hope you enjoy my poem about the Aye-Aye.

Aye- Aye
Many people thought that they were gone,
But now scientists proves that they are wrong,
The Aye-Aye is a lemur,
With large eyes, and a body that has fur,
It may not look ensainly cute,
But there is no need to kill and shoot,
They live in Madagascar and sleep during the day,
But people try to scare them away,
Many people kill them on sight,
This is not very bright,
They think they are ugly and do not care,
But what they are doing isn’t fair,
Some people from Madagascar are doing things that are not great,
Just because they think it will bring bad luck and bad fate,
Thankfully some are trying to make sure they are okay,
And things are changing this very day,
They are now protected by rule,
To stop people from being so cruel.
