I recommend the movie; Something the Lord Made. It is a movie based on a true story. This movie takes place during segregation. It follows the life of a colored man named Vivien Thomas who has a dream to become a doctor. When a doctor named Alfred Blalock hires him as a janitor. The doctor soon realizes that Vivien has great potential. This movie is about how Vivien climbed up from a nobody to someone we look up to now.
