To My Bird Buttercup

This poem is dedicated to my bird Buttercup who died today,8/24/2011. I love her and I know she's in a better place.

To My Bird Buttercup

Buttercup was nice to me,

She was a good bird and everybody could see,

She wasn't just a pet,

But a part of my family not just someone I met,

I love her with all my heart,

She was very smart,

I don't know how she died,

But when she did I cried,

Even though she passed away,

I will think about her everyday,

I wish she could still lay on my palm,

But I know that she is somewhere peaceful and calm.
