Some Little Poems

Here are some poems I wrote in fourth grade. I hope you will enjoy reading it.

 

Butterfly

Mary was a butterfly with green and black wings,

Then she was caught with a net and some strings,

And was put into a cage,

Mary was angry so she shook with rage,

And the cage flew open so Mary was free.

Grass

The grass grows at our feet,

It surrounds us when we’re out,

It turns its head towards the wind and when the wind stops blowing

It will stand there very still.

Fawn

I once had a small fuzzy fawn,

Whose fur was the color blond,

She would stand there all day,

Wondering if you could come play,

The thing was she couldn't respond!
