Marie Taglioni

Marie Taglioni
One sunny day in Paris, France; a girl learned how to ballet dance. Her father made this romantic dance for her, she loved it a lot and that’s for sure. This was the best gift anyone could give; it made Marie happy to live. To be able to spin and leap, so Marie decided to weep. These were tears of happiness and joy, for a gift much better than a toy. Marie was the girl’s name and dancing was her favorite game.
She could run like a cheetah and soar like the sky; and the leaps she made were oh so high. She could Posé or even do a split, she could Port de bras without a fit. She could stand still with her foot over her head; she looked good in green, blue, or red. She could do a fish dive, or maybe two or five.Fouetté rond de jambe en tournant seven times in a row; and after she’s done she’d do a curtsy just for show. She could twirl around on her toes. She was as beautiful as a rose.
She performed on stage in front of many; the applause she got was plenty. She played the part of a fairy, whose true love never got to marry. This mortal man had broken her heart, and left her there to cry and rot. While she performed she wore a white dress, when she performed there was never a mess. The top she wore was kind odd. For the sleeves she wore were not big and broad. In fact there were no sleeves at all; her arms were there so strong, not dull.  The spotlight followed her anywhere, for she was so talented and fair. She encouraged others to follow their dream, and someday on the stage they’ll gleam. Marie also stared in many other dances, always there to do her prances.
Marie Taglioni was seventy-five when she died, and when she did people wept and cried. For the loss of someone so great; the most talented dancer, there’s no debate. She will live on in many hearts, as not only the girl who made ballet start; but the girl who was never scared or daunted, who did whatever she pleased and whatever she wanted.
