The clock strikes 12 and midnight appears,

In my mind grows thoughts and fears,

Minutes pass and I lay awake,

Fake fantasies make my heart ache,

Thinking of memories and the past,

Wondering about moments that didn't last,

Staring at the scattered stars,

Dreaming of places that are far,

Hoping for things that could never be,

Wishing things were different for me...
