Bombing in Boston Marathon

Today there was a marathon that was held in Boston. Two bombs blew up and many were severely injured. Two people were killed and a lot of people are at the hospital. This is really sad news and I hope they will get better. Our prayers go out to the families to the lost loved ones and to the families that are healing.

In Boston bombs blew up with no warning,

Causing many to go into mourning,

Who could have thought that a simple run,

Would be bloody when it was done.

The runners who ran were almost to the finish line,

When a bomb exploded that sent a shiver through their spine,

The explosion made a trembling sound,

And the blast threw people to the ground.

Screams filled the air and chaos spread,

Many were injured and two are dead,

People were rushed to the hospital,

Injured from the blast, cuts, or falls.

Many had gone to this exercise,

They didn’t think they’d be hospitalized,

I hope they will heal and become stronger,

So that the families will cry no longer.
