Segregation

At school I am learning about segregation. Segregation is separation because of race, religion, or color. Today I will post something I wrote for a school project. I hope this poem will allow you to learn more about civil rights.

Segregation

An invisible wall use to separate this Earth,

Why does it matter sense we have all been given birth,

Blacks and whites and different races,

Were being judged by the color of their faces,

Segregation all around town, 

The buses money kept going down,

Hearing shots being fired,

Only whites were being hired,

On Bloody Sunday lots of people died,

But African Americans kept fighting; they tried,

Ruby Bridges; Rosa Parks,

Both had very loving hearts,

Jackie Robinson played baseball,

The color barrier began to fall.
